MITSUBOSHI早在上世纪九十年代初期，双面齿同步带这个概念已逐步形成。在当时，无论从设计上 ，技术条件上都还不够研制开发双面齿的条件，但已有一些特殊领域的客户已提出使用此类同步带的设想。在当时国际上双面齿同步带已初露端倪，但无法收集相关的技术信息和资料。

 
　　双面齿同步带***早的雏形，是采用磨削工艺加工双面齿，即在原同步带产品带背加厚的基础上，用成形砂轮打磨出近似的齿形。但从用户的使用状况及信息反馈来看，存在很多缺陷，寿命短，不耐磨，齿剥离现象严重，啮合不良等等。

 
　　1998年传动带创新中心正式成立后，在有关科研单位的大力配合与支持下，国内***走访收集大量国外传动带相关资料拜访多位传动带******以后，解决了双面齿同步带的成型工艺、硫化工艺与相关的配套设施等难题。产品经化学工业胶带质量监督检验中心检验，各项指标均符合标准要求，并经用户使用，反映良好。于2003年12月双面齿同步带通过了宁波市级新产品鉴定。
