轧辊是轧机的重要部件，按照轧机类型可分为领带轧机轧辊、型钢轮机扎辊和钢管轧机轧辊三大类。

板带轧机轧辊的辊身呈圆柱形，热乾板带轧辊的辊身微凹，当受热膨胀时，可保持较好的扳形。

（1）堆焊前需先将轧辊辊身表面的疲劳层或缺陷，尤其是裂纹必须彻底清除；

（2）在堆焊时，为了防止裂纹的产生，必须先加工轧辊辊身预热，预热温度根据轧辊辊及堆焊材料而定。

整体轧辊是相对于复合轧辊而言的，整体轧辊的辊身外层与心部以及辊颈采用单一材质铸造或锻造而成，辊身外层和辊颈不同的***、性能通过铸造或锻造工艺以及热处理工艺过程来控制和调整。
