拉钢式和往复多爪推齿式两种冷床对于圆钢都不太适用，容易拉斜、滚乱。冷却圆钢（管坯）以使用链式冷床较好，上钢一厂、大连钢厂的650轧钢车间都采用链式冷床，冷床设备生产商，两者所不同之处在于：上钢一厂的圆钢搁在台架上，链条拉着圆钢缓慢前进，由于圆钢单重较大，一般不会乱滚。大连钢厂的圆钢直接搁在链条上，前进过程中圆钢与链条无相对运动。两种链式冷床使用单位反映都较好。

明确轴向位置，加大矫直压力。不要单独打8辊轴向，调整侧弯时应以每相临的3个辊为一个调整单元，保证矫直稳定性。侧壁斜度的处理措施是经常注意检查各辊轴向位置，窜动情况。注意在不同间隙情况下，矫直力的选取。对H2与H3的测量做到每批抽查，以做到及时调整。
