冷轧辊在工作过程中要承受很大的轧制应力，加上轧件的焊缝、夹杂、边裂等问题，容易导致瞬间高温，使工作辊受到强烈热冲击，造成裂纹、粘辊、剥落甚至报废。因此，冷轧辊要有抵抗因弯曲应力、扭转应力、剪切应力引起的开裂和剥落的能力，同时也要有高的耐磨性。(3)硬面辊：肖氏硬度约为60一85，用于薄板、中板、中型型钢和小型型钢轧机的稿轧机及四辊轧机的支撑辊。

当轧制其它型材时，可以用水平机架更换***机架。水平机架的轧辊有很深的孔型，而***机架没有。

较大直径的水平轧辊确定型钢的的形状，而较小直径的一对立辊用于轧制边部。当坯料穿过传统机架和***机架精轧轧辊时，可以获得很好的表面光洁度和尺寸公差。

When rolling other profiles, the universal rack can be replaced with a horizontal rack. The roll of the horizontal frame has a very deep pass, but the universal rack does not.

Horizontal rolls with larger diameters determine the shape of the section steel, and a pair of rolls with ***aller diameters are used for rolling edges. Good surface finish and dimensional tolerance can be obtained when the blank passes through the conventional stand and universal stand finish rolls.
