Celebrities shine in Platinum Jewellery

                 July, 2010 - When it comes to standing out in a crowd, celebrities are choosing platinum jewellery to enhance their outfits on the red carpet this season.
At the beginning of May, the annual Costume Institute Gala took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and attracted many A-list celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez and Kate Hudson, both wearing platinum jewellery.

Actress Jessica Biel opted for Fred Leighton platinum, diamond and pearl drop earrings with platinum and diamond bracelets.

Sarah Jessica Parker also chose platinum and diamond bracelets, this time by Harry Winston.

Harry Winston was also the choice of television personality Nicole Richie who wore a range of platinum and diamond jewels by the brand.

Not to be outdone, Europe put on a show at the Cannes Film Festival. Here bracelets seemed to the trend with British film actress Helen Mirren choosing two platinum and diamonds bracelets featuring 116 and 62 carats of diamonds respectively.

She completed her look with a pair of stunning platinum and diamond earrings all by the jewellery and watch brand Chopard.

Kristin Scott Thomas, master of ceremony at this year’s Cannes Festival also chose Chopard, wearing a unique pair of platinum earrings set with diamonds (72 carats) and an exceptional platinum bracelet set with fancy shape diamonds for a total of 75 carats.
