 星形是***简单的网络拓扑结构，每一个节点都拥有一条直接通向网关的通道，然而其传输距离有限。采用树形拓扑能够解决这个问题，添加路由节点后，远处的节点上的数据能够通过路由节点传输到网关。然而树形拓扑仍然存在可靠性的问题，一旦路由节点产生问题，所有由这个节点通向网关的通路将被切断。所以，对于可靠性要求很高的无线网络，建议选择网状拓扑(mesh topology)结构。
