TheModel501K-1isaManualEngineControlModule,whichhasbeendesignedtomanuallycontroltheengineviaakeyswitchontfrontpanel.Themoduleisusedtostartandstoptheengine,indicatingfaultconditi***;automaticallyshuttingdowntheengineandindicatingtheenginefailurebyLEDgivingtruefirstupfaultannunciation.OperationofthemoduleisviaathreepositionkeyswitchmountedonthefrontpanelwithSTOP(O),RUN(I)andSTART(II)the‘O’positiontheDCsupplyisremovedfromthemoduleandtherunrelayandalarmoutputarede-energised.Iftheswitchisturnedtothe‘I’positionthemoduleispoweredupandtherunrelayisenergised,activatingtheenginefuel/ignitionsystemandtheprotectionhold-offtimerisinitiated.Iftheswitchismovedtothe‘IIpositionandheldagainstthespringreturn,apositivesupplyisappliedtotherelevantoutputterminalandontothestartermotor.Oncetheenginehasstartedtheswitchshouldbereleasedandallowedtoreturntothe‘I’position.Operationofanyofthefollowingalarms;LowOilPressure,HighEngineTemperature,AuxiliaryShutdown,Overspeed(Optional),willcausetherunrelaytode-energise.Thiswillremovethefuel/ignitionsupplyfromtheengineandbringittorest.ThealarmoutputwillbeactivatedgivingapositiveDCoutput.Eachalarmchannelhasit’sownLEDindicatorandonceactivatednofurtheralarmconditi***willbeaccepted.?ThealarmoutputandrelevantLEDwillremainactiveuntiltheunitisresetbyturningtheswitchtothe‘Oposition)
